My Bio
Hi! I’m Kailey, a non-diet, weight inclusive dietitian and LGBTQ+ affirming provider. I’m the owner of KC Nutrition Counseling where I offer counseling for folks experiencing eating disorders, body image challenges, food aversions and health anxieties. Additionally, I provide HAES® and eating disorder consultation for dietitians and other clinicians.
My primary motivation lies in supporting others on their journey to a more peaceful relationship with food and their bodies. I operate from an intuitive eating, HAES® informed approach and am a strong proponent of body liberation and body autonomy.
I believe compassion is at the core of healing and refer to sessions and clinical consultations as ‘judgment free zones’ in hopes of creating a safe environment to practice and grow a non-judgmental stance. Because each individual’s relationship with food and their bodies is so complex and unique, I do not believe in any ‘one size fits all’ approaches. Instead, I prefer a spirit of curiosity, experimentation and exploration. I strive to approach my work with clients as a partnership where together we can discover authentic preferences, cultivate a stronger connection with overall intuition, and define what wellness feels like to them.
I began primarily supporting people with eating disorders and their loved ones in 2015. In this time I have not only gotten to focus on outpatient counseling, I have also gained higher level of care experience working with and for multiple treatment facilities in positions that have spanned from Programming Dietitian to National Director of Nutrition Services.
Most recently, I began a position with Tufts University Health Services where I provide nutrition counseling to students. Additionally, I participate in a weekly case management meeting with the members of the eating disorder treatment team and provide regular eating disorder consultation for clinicians.
I am honored to have worked with everyone I have thus far and look forward to opportunities to partner with more clients and clinicians moving forward!
